We’ve been tasked with re-developing 12 Acres of former commercial/industrial property in central San Marcos into a vibrant regional hub of creativity. As large-scale retail declines throughout the country it is time to invent experience and transcendental engagement in its place. Three districts for physical arts, performance arts, and culinary arts will be programmed with an emphasis on community engagement in the act of craftsmanship. Each district will have retail, restaurant and light industrial all with ample outdoor spaces for work, play and performance. Modernity of vision is to be expressed via reverential habitation of this corner of the earth where endangered Southwestern Willow Flycatchers nest in Silver-Green Sandbar Willow and hidden Pygmy Mountain Mahogany Forests have been witness to 10,000 years of continual human habitation.
