Malibu LagoonBeing adjacent a sensitive wetland ecosystem the project required utmost sensitivity to natural resources. Funding constraints required the project team to find ways to meet environmental and utilitarian goals.Two large bio-swales serve dual purpose as visual buffers from the busy highway while protecting the lagoon ecosystem. Small footbridges are thresholds providing defining boundaries of urban and natural zones.
